Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that usually only affects the face. Characterized by redness, broken blood vessels or acne, rosacea is more common in fair-skinned people. It can also make the face feel tight or painful.

Many people do not realize they have rosacea, instead believing their symptoms are sunburn, acne or just part of aging.

The cause of rosacea is unknown, but it is exacerbated by sun exposure, alcohol, emotional stress and diet.

Treatment varies from oral antibiotics, topical medications or laser.
