Botox
Botox is a naturally occurring substance that has shown to be effective in smoothing the appearance of wrinkles, frown lines and crow´s feet. Effects can be seen within days.
Botox has been used since 1980 for the treatment of certain muscle spasms.
When injected beneath the skin, Botox Cosmetic causes the muscles to relax, so that skin no longer puckers. Wrinkles begin to disappear within a few days after treatment leaving the skin with a smooth appearance. The effects of Botox usually wear off in 4-6 months.
The tiny injections may cause some redness for a few hours, but do not cause any downtime. Patients may return to work and other activities immediately after treatment.
